Hey, it’s Melanie! As I’ve said before, I have been reading The Count of Monte Cristo. So far, the book is really intriguing with all of it’s unsuspecting plot twists and dynamic characters. One of the main themes of the story is revenge. Yes, sweet, sweet revenge.*laughs manically while rubbing hands together* But is it really sweet? That’s what the The Count of Monte Cristo made my class and I question. Can you achieve happiness by inflicting hurt or harm on someone for an injury or wrong suffered at their hands? Whether you agree or not, watch the clip from The Help! In the video, Hilly eats a delicious “chocolate” pie courtesy of Minny, for all of the respect she never received working for her.
