Underdog chef


I’ve been watching Hoosiers in class lately and it made me think about underdogs. An underdog is a person that is expected to lose in a struggle. This idea can be related to chefs in the cooking industry. Up and coming chefs must struggle and learn from their mistakes before excelling at their craft. This also reminded me of the movie, Jiro dreams of Sushi, which is on netflix by the way. In the documentary, Jiro works extremely hard to perfect his sushi skills and in turn teaches his sons how to run his Michelin three star restuarant. For me, this movie was intense and thought-provoking as I saw Jiro and his sons work relentlessly many hours a day and talk about what determination really is. You should definitely watch it if your into inspiring movies.Thanks for reading!
